Newer LA black gangs

Unread postby pico » August 8th, 2003, 5:57 pm

I got a question about some of the Crip sets listed on SG.com. Are some of them newer - formed in the last decade or so? I know well-known sets like Rollin 60's, 83 Gangster, or Denver Lane, go a long way back. Note the following:

Addicted to Crime
Beach Town Mafia Crips
Big Daddyz
Blunt Smoking Only Gang
BOGC
Born to Jacc 73
Burnside Ave Crip Gang
DAWGs
DSHC 91
Dirty Old Man Gang
Dont Give A ----
Down --- Pimp Gang
Dragnet
Eastside DAWGs
Eastside Players
Eastside Ridaz
Lettin N----- Have It
Most Valuable Pimp Gangster Crip
NBGC
Nothing But Trouble Halldale Crip, 51
Perverts BK
Pimp Town Murder Squad
RHG
Sex Symbols
SSXCG
Straight Ballers Society
Too Many Hoes Gang
West Side Mafia
We Dont Care Crip

Also, are these sets active?

ATC is Alley Tiny Criminals 13. We were never crips. The reason that Alonso has us there is because back in the days when we started out as taggers we had alot of black homeboys in ATC. We turned into tagbangers because of the greenlight on taggers. We had a choice to earn our stripes or stop claiming ATC or get clicked up with one of the older varrios in the area. We earned every notch we have. We took on and out a lot of the older varrios in the area. The bigg doggs in the pen gave us our name and the 13. During all this most if not all the black homies got out of ATC and got into Harlem. They all still got mad love and respeto for ATC though

How does tagging lead to gang membership & also new gangs being formed?

All those listed above were hoods i found in the 1990s and ATC back then had blacks. But how did the beef between ATC 13 and Harpys begin? And how does Haprys and ATC both claim 39th street?

Check it out dog, ATC and Harpys always got along, especially since most of the homies have familia from Harpys. Some of those homies got recruited into the original Dead End click of Harpys during the greenlight period. Even though we did not like that to much they were still the homiest and since most of them lived on 39th and Vermont it ended up being called D9(dead end 39th street) but that was back then. Since the war we took it back and started taking over their hood in the 30'z. Even though you can still find a couple of them around 32st market, we will keep pushing them into the 20's. The actual war started by their youngsters calling us taggers when most of them were from a tagging crew called RNS. Those fools were always trying to cross us out. The O.G Dead Ends, which always gave us respect, left it up to them. They also did not like the fact that we had a free pass in their hood. The beef was only supposed to be about getting down. Since that’s the way it was when they saw one of my cousins and one of my boys walking down 24th street they started trippin and got punked. The next day they tried to run up to my cousins house and started trippin on my uncle and my other cousin but they couldn’t do anything because my uncle is one of the O.G main heads of Harpies, when they started as bikers, that night they went into the hood and and started busting at the lil homiest and back and forth we’ve been going for years

Alot of those Hoodz on that list are still active. I'm from DOMG (Dirty Old Man Gang) and we aint never tagged. We just started of as a clique. The WS Dom'z was over in the Harlems and the SC DOM'z was over in the Dark Side 40's but after a while we just went to one Hood and now reside in the Dark Side 40's.

And the ATC's gets much props from me because back in the dayz we use to kick it with the ATC's And we went through the Same Sh** that they went through. Alot of our Homies was turning Harlem and 40's so we had to but it down or our hood would have been eleminated so we just started riding back. We now got crazy beef with the Dark Side 40's behind this a hood whom we resided in for close to 20 years.

And for the We Dont Care Crips them the homies they down ridas too. But they in the Neighbor Hood car. We pretty tight with them.

The Most Valuable Pimp Gangster Crips Them niggaz is still active too. they hood is right there on La Brea and Washington Beetween Labrea and Redondo. To the west of them niggaz is the Marvins to the east is School Yard.

To be honest atleast 70% of the gangs on that list started in the 80's.
But hoodz that started in the 90's that aint on that list is......

BRC (Bed Rocc Crip)
DHT (Doing Hard Time)
BFGC (Blastin Foo's Gangsta Crip)
FFGC (Fair Fax Gangsta Crip) (started in the 80's but turned crip in 90's)

I'm sure there's a few more but I dont really bang like that no more so I dont know about all the other new hoodz springing up over town.
