At the Catch One in Los Angeles, Conejo had a concert called "Nightmare Before X-Mas" where he was the main act.

My favorite rapper. Nice to see him free, doing what he was meant to do.

Sick ass foo was on the run for like 15 years. Got captured in TJ and only did a year in the county lol.
He beat his case.
The whole time he was on the run he was dropping new albums every month on Spotify lol.

And he rapped about coming back and beating his case for years. He rapped about his own future and it came true. While everyone else assumed he was doomed.

The first song that comes to mind is First Class Ticket To Hell off the devils playground album.

First two verses sums up why he went on the run with lines like this:
1st verse:
“I Was At The Wrong Place
At The Wrong Time
Had To Dodge Them Bullets
Just To Stay Alive
Homie Vatos Tried To Smoke Me
Rabbit Exit Quick
Ese Like O.J
On The 10 and Shit
I Rolled Up A Blunt
Of That Chronic Green
Got My Thoughts Together
Oh What This Could Mean?
No More Schemes
Ain't No Way To Redeem
They're Trying To Stick Me With A Case
And Give Me 3..
I Lost Sleep Boy
From The Very First Night
Will They Railroad Me
N try to Give Me Life??!

I Took A Flight
They Fucked The Game Plan Up,
Could Never Tell What Could Happen
City Heat Was Up
My boys called
And Gave Me The News
There's A Warrant For Your Ass
Someone Caught The Blues

Did You Do It?
Only The Devil Knows
Lay Low Young Rabbs
Till We Pass The Storm”

Then the 3rd verse he imagined coming back to LA county jail to fight the case.

“I Roll Up
To The L.A. County
In The Streets It Was On
But In Here They Around Me
Ese Vatos That Feel Me
Enemigas That Hate Me
I'm With That South Side Car
So You Busters Can't Fade Me
The Riots Was Jumpin'
Going At It With Blacks
The System Was Rioting
Deputies Got Attacked
Politics Got Em Scared
Lock Us Down Cause We Bad
And When They Let Us Off
We Go Off Again
Fighting My Case
Attorney Beat Up The Witness
They Lied On The Stand
And The Jury Could See It
They Tried To Dump It On Me
Cause I'm A Ghetto Celeb
And I Write Fucking Songs
Bout Your Homies Death
If The Crime Ain't Mine
Then The Crime Ain't Mine
I Beat The Case
It Was About That Time
Now I'm Back In The Hood
With These Gangster Tracks

These Harpy's Raps
You Know The Boss Is Back“

Keep in mind he wrote this back in like 2006/07.

One of my favorite songs by Conejo is "I'm Burned Out" pretty much saying hes tired of hiding and being on the run.
Low key I think he wanted to get caught and brought back to LA.

Yeaa. His new albums the last 4-5 years I be only liking 2-3 songs.
His old old stuff was good. His albums and mixtapes from like 2001-2013 were good.
Like Los Angeles Times, Killer From The West, I am Legend, The Classic Mixtape, Dead End Gangster, Devil's Playground. Hes has alot of good shit in his The Bootlegs series.

That’s a classic. Yeah he has a lot of songs where the lyrics make it clear that he knew he was eventually coming back, one way or another and that he has to fight the case.

To really appreciate his music you got to read between the lines on a lot of his best music, IMO nobody else in “Chicano rap” has touched on so many different subjects like he has. Most gangster rappers only rap on surface level stuff and Conejo goes deeper but a lot goes over people’s heads. Conejo style is to paint a vivid picture of every aspect. I can’t say that I really like his newest releases that he came out with since he’s been free, but what he provided for so many years till 2015-16, he can do no wrong from here on out in my book.
