Donnie Boy grew up on the eastside off of Hooper Avenue in the 1960s and is a founding member of the Avenues with Criag Monson during 1967 (circa). The Avenues originals were actually formed at Charles Drew Junior High School during the 7th and 8th grade with Craig Monson, Donnie Boy, Gregory "Crickett" Carter (Buchy Carter's little brother), and Teddy Bear but they didn't have the name in 1964 and 1965.
