Oh, so you've been all over the East Coast, is that right? You've punked out everybody on the entire East Coast yourself, is that it? Since you're such a big time gangster, I guess that must be what happened. Otherwise you wouldn't waste time making ignorant blanket statements about a whole section of the country.

Come on lets not get personal. Im not talking about the niggas on the streets I just visited NY and Newark,NJ in April and they got soldiers over there im talking about these commercialized rappers they got. I think they got some real underground niggas but Jay-Z, 50,Cam and many others just dont seem GANGSTA to me.

Fake Heros/Heroines

Unread post by BIG DUSTY LOCO » July 9th, 2003, 4:44 pm

I was raised on rap/funk and all that. I just don't dig these messages the kids memorize line by line instead of their school work. Lil Kim got lil 12 year old girls here on the street thinking it's all right to pimp your body for Prada. Or these romanticizing Rapper-studio-gangstas spreading tales of some stories kicked by an O.G. while drinking at a BBQ. I know music is a reflection of the people, their tastes and all that, but c'mon. And nowadays you have clueless people that are still looking for Tupac on 4th/Venice??? LOL...

I think too many people just hold their "heros/heroines" in such high esteem, they want to believe in something to make themselves something. Man, go believe in God/Allah/Buddha/Aliens, or better yet, go believe in yourselves. Tupac was a dope rapper and all, but that fool never paid my bills. Everybody wants to talk reality, but live in a dreamworld of fake-thuggery and fake-homies. Better save the youth before it's too late.

back in my young days ,until i found out how racist chineese people are but thats another subject ,the only thing i don't understand is , he ain't dead theory ,and all those busters yellin' tupac rest in peace when they have a gang of homies that are restin' in peace ,like you'v said he don't pay my bills and he never had my back ,and i rather say bg lane south in peace cause bg lane was what tupac pretended to be in his song , a young loc who was born and died in l.a

Speakin' of Bruce Lee, there is the 1st Bruce Lee Convention at the Airport Hilton in Burbank this weekend. Tons of martial artists, movie stars, family, and friends of Bruce Lee will be attending, doing demonstrations, and sharing thoughts about him for 2 days(Sat-Sun). I can't believe there still is that much love for that cat after all these years. Casper, don't generalize all the chinese as racists, well at least Bruce Lee. He's the only Chinese Gung Fu teacher who actually opened his doors to all races, starting out here in the LOS with his Chinatown school, out in Oakland with his Jun Fan school. You can see through his philosophies and artist direction, he was revolutionary in that sense, bringing the martial arts into all people's life. One thing I'll never forget about his work, that Jim Kelly scene in "Enter The Dragon" where Jim was walking in an alley but gets stopped by 2 LAPD racist cops...that's some classic sheeet right there. At that time, I don't believe there were any mainstream movies that threw in political views of police brutality in L.A. like that!

But really though, people need to understand all this entertainment is entertainment, not reality! I mean the merchandising Afeni Shakur must make on Tupac has got to be ridiculous.

I'm sick of 50 Cent, Eminem, Ja Rule, Black Child and whoever squabling back and forth claiming shit like 'if Pac was here he wouldn't wanna roll with you' and 'Tupac would hate you' this, 'BIG wouldn't hang with a snitch' that. How fake is that?

The Westside Connection album was a wack shit that really didnt talk bout a G shit, with songs like " all critics in new york" and "king of the hill" that shit was a waste and doesnt have the street knowledge of cd´s like Bloods & Crips or Damu Ridas, Wack Cube tryed to make money of the East Coast-West Coast beef, and he always talkin bout hes a G, but never gang banged, this nigguh doesnt keep it real. And his War & peace is better not to even see it.
Cause many rappers they do films, they try to give a Gangster Image in their cd´s, and especially wack cube since NWa he has be tryin to give a gangsta image (" Because when im in ya neighbourhood u better duck / cuz ice cube is crazy ass fuck"), and the Amerikkkas most wanted ( " the drive-by"), and then he has grown in a neighbourhood full of gangs. but has he ever put the gun in someones head and pull the trigger? or has spayed somebody ? thats the G thang to do. This b Fake ass gangsta rappers, and another example of this would be dr. dre.

Keep it REAL , doggs !!!

Nelly tried to come with some gun play on his album ? I have no clue because I hardly find anything recent good. Newest cd I bought was 50cent, can't call him the best. Still searching for the rare & hard to finds myself like Top Authority "Somethin' to Blaze To" and others.

Been listening to the radio lately and I feel my music standards are being prematurely lowered. So much weak shat is being pushed on my ears, I can't blame the folks tryin to make their dollar but I can blame you mofoz that buy it !!

bgC what do you mean Ice Cube used to be racist? He still promotes the NOI and 5%ers, if that's what you mean.

Shorty from the Lench Mob even said that Ice Cube's lyrics made him out to be a proper gangster but when he met him he thought he had the wrong man.

Shorty probably used to jack people like Ice Cube.

Ice cube's a heavy lyricist, but on the list of wanksters he probably comes higher that the Beastie Boys.

LOL!!!!

50-Cent is overrated -- he's a knock-off 2-Pac...
Ja Rule is an R & B singer...
I'm not sure what's up with Joe Budden. His name is turn-off enough...
And anyone coming out of the South, other than Outcast, is simply frightening...
