^^^^i respect that, my russian homey....I myself thought this was a new movement, I felt they energy, it just seemed like a westcoast version of CRUNK....and the lyrism (keek the sneek? WEAK) was horrible....acompanied by e40's goofy ass voice, I like his style tho, he smooth with it...just not my thing....nowadayz, there's a bunch of dickheads that say "hip hop aint about lyrics anymore" n everytime I hear that, I just wanna smack them niggaz with a mic....the only way a rapper gets my respect is if they nice, I dnt care how much rotation ur shit gets in clubs, if u can't flow, then ur not an official rapper, or should I say MC.....

Im all about Left coast music thats what Ive been around, so anything coming from WC or has that influence Im with it.
I get what ur saying on the lyrics in hip hop not having substance. Thats probably why alot of interest in hip hop has declined and is suffering because dudes come out and cant rap and flood the market with BS

the sideshows and all that "hyphy" shit aint new...Original rap wasn't about the lyrics, it was to keep the party poppin, but when niggas got more into the Mc'in side of hip hop they made rap concentrate more on the lyrics. that bein said, if you wanna say any ol boo boo shit, stick to the cipha, if you can spit then go ahead and record.
