Oh God not again! regardless of who i list as the top greatest rappers, there will be someone else in this world that would challenge my choices.

Therefore i now know its all a matter of personal taste and opinions.

NONE of the niggas ya named is even remotely close to the God Rakim or Big Daddy Kane - the niggas coulda been from siberia for all I care --- King Tee...yeah right - check the tapes of Biggie spittin in 87 with the same exact style (ive heard that ridiculous theory before)

I didn't name the Game or Quik. you just don't wanna give no credit to this coast thats why you say the King Tee shit is bs but whatever. Big is still the man. And what you expect, niggas out here like gangbang rap, east coast niggas still on some lyrical shit. anyone list KRS ONE, thats a muthafuckin MC for your ass.

In random order:

- Ice Cube
- Ice-T
- KRS-1
- Chuck D
- K-Rino (if you haven't heard of this guy, shame on you. He's been in a game for a long time.)

Here's a one verse from K-Rino from a song called "Bussin Rounds": http://rapidshare.de/files/7177789/krin ... s.mp3.html

And this verse is from a song "Southside Killa": http://rapidshare.de/files/7177894/krin ... a.mp3.html

K-Rino got lyrics and flows like no other, so you better acknowledge him or get laughed at!

i think like you homie you gotta put out some criteria the culture is too broad but ima give my list based on the following

1) longevity , how can you list a mothafocka that didnt have a large body of work there should be like a 5 album minimum

2) lyrical content and creativity best use of metaphors and poetry

3) a presence that transcended the culture and set trends with in the culture

4) made music that sounds as good today as when it was made classic's

5) made others they came in contact with better

nah nigga, u on crack. just cause the east got a monopoly the south only gets play, and when west coast niggas bumped it mainly wasn't from the bay, you can't hate on e fonzorelli. Nigga been in the game for a minute, influenced the world with his slang (fashizzle dizzle shit is just an example), bomb storyteller, good flow, and he's original.
