Unread post by Documentaryfilm » May 11th, 2009, 3:21 pm

Documentary film makers looking for REAL GANGSTERS that know the game. If you are a Real GANGSTER IN LOS ANGELES we would like to hear from you.
The Doc is on legal and illegal weapons in Los Angeles and how the gun legislation uses gang violence as propaganda to disarm the american people and take away our 2nd amendment rights. We are looking for people to feature in this film. Post or send a message and we will respond. Thank you.

I don't understand what point you trying to get across using 'real gangster' on a documentary about legal and illegal weapons in L.A. Doesn't make sense.

WE are going to show the difference in getting firearms the legal way with the waiting period and also the illegal way by purchasing from the streets.

No disrespect to you films, but for the others this is why A&E has gotten so weak, especially all of these recent documentaries (Besides Baron Davis). You don't go to Oregon to do a documentary on the Hoovers and 60s, thats weak. You go to the mega. You use reputables, known soldiers, on the original blocks, original streets, the real L.A. scene. Anything else is watered down.

The problem is too many Europeans/UK/British come over here trying to get a story and they don't know whose real and whose not. They are just looking for a story/project and they will use whoever they can just to get their point across. Little do they know they could just film themselves or the producer and we'd appreciate it and understand it a lot more. You don't have to travel across the country to find dummies to meet your storyline.

Using some kid off the internet that struggles holding an intelligent conversation all awhile jocking street gangs but never been in one- is going to come out hella crazy.

good Luck.

What? Can 'REAL gangstas' get the guns legally? Daym, I never knew that. Unless that ' REAL gangsta' has no record what so-ever, than good luck to him getting a gun legally.

Anyways, good luck on your documentary film.

We are not going to have a gang member get the legal gun. Listen people the whole project is not explained with this post. The way this is laid out is working and on this site we are looking for specific points of view from a specific type of person. Remember this is not a doucmentary on gang members, its on firearms.

Have you ever heard of an indie film... A lot of projects are indie then they get sold.

Lotta fools would be reluctant to get on record talking about that man, especially if you don't even have any credentials or something to offer in return. It's not like the homies are gonna be famous moviestars after running their mouths about how much straps our hood has or doesn't have. If anything it'll just bring more heat down on the neighborhood, idk, maybe you'll be able to get some of these myspace bangin youngsters to talk about it. Shoulda offered up a few bucks to get their attention or something.
Good luck though.
