The Chicago mob is a lot smaller in size and power than many people seem to believe it still is. It's more comparable to the New England or Philadelphia families now.

This chart was compiled about a year ago by a couple posters over on the Real Deal forum. And then it was later posted on the Gangsters board below. Keep in mind not all of those listed are made.

2) With Mark Rosetti and Bobby Deluca turning informants, whats the status on the Patriarca family?
It remains to be seen how much damage they will do.
3) How powerful is Detroit since theres is not alot news on them and any recent charts and whats the estimated membership?
Much like Chicago, there are people who have an outdated opinion of Detroit. But at least Chicago still has evidence of ongoing mob activity. Detroit really doesn't. Even if somebody still considers to the family viable, it's not nearly as strong as some make it out to be. And back in the mid-1990's it was said to have 30 made members at most.
4) In the indictment against Rudy Fratto there was talk of Cleveland mob and a loan to a made member there, is there any news on who that member was and how active cleveland is?
Fratto offered to intervene with some guys there. Of course, that in no way shows there is still a formally structured family there. There isn't.
5) Who is thought be running the Bonanno and Colombo families?
Vinny "TV" Badalamenti is the acting boss of the Bonanno family. Recently indicted Thomas "Tom Mix" Farese had been made consigliere by former acting boss Andy Russo.
6) Also is there any news on the decavalcante, buffalo families and what is news on philly with the indictment?
Some DeCavalcante-connected companies were listed in the recent New Jersey Commission of Investigation report on ongoing organized crime involvement in the solid waste and unregulated recycling industry in New Jersey. Nothing really as of late on the indictment in Philadelphia. There is really no longer a viable family in Buffalo.

Oh and it just came out in this weeks Gang Land News article that Donnie "Shacks" Montemarano, who had been basically retired and living in LA since the 1990's, was called back to New York to help run the Colombos as the acting underboss.

Yeh I read that article and an older one on Thomas Farese getting busted for money laundering and he got lured by rat Reynolds Maragni in Florida or something. So a question I have been wanting to ask is there a chart that shows active made members of the Colombos recentley because a good chunk of the family is in prison or defected? Also how many guys do the Patriarcas have and a recent chart? Also do the New York still intervene with smaller families, cause ypu hear they don't recognize Joey Merlino anymore but Ligambi

The charts you see are usually ones of all members because the ones who are in and out of prison, under indictment, etc. are constantly changing.

The Colombos have about 35 members in prison. Another 16 have defected over the years. Plus you gotta assume some others are inactive due to age and whatnot. So, with a little over 100 members total in the family, there are maybe 50 active at the moment.

The Patriarcas currently have somewhere between 40 and 50 total members.

Because of the geographical proximity, the NY families still interact with the DeCavalcante family in New Jersey, the Bruno family in Philadelphia, and the Patriarca family in New England. But there's less interaction than there once was and less overall influence. For instance, a year or two ago George Anastasia reported the Genovese and Gambino families wanted Ligambi to replace Mazzone and Borgesi with Staino and Lucibello but it was ultimately Ligambi's decision. Obviously a different situation from years ago when NY was basically handpicking who would take over in Philly.

I don't remember if I've asked you this before but have you checked out the forums below? What you're looking for can often be found there. I mean charts, answers to your questions, etc. You need an invite for the Real Deal if you want to join there.

So how many guys are in Boston compared to Providence and Ralph DeLeo was he an acting boss or just a soldier and does that mean the colombos have some rackets in Boston?

Also so Peter Limone is not acting boss anymore and its Anthony Dinunzio?

Also does anyone have any info on Salvatore Little Sal Timpani, Leonard Giacobbe,Amelio Cocchiaro of the Decavalcantes?

Any info on Charles Crazy Charlie Travella,Salvatore Caccamise,William Capparelli of the Bonannos and Jospeh Chubby Audino?

Current estimate on family membership in Viable families including detroit?

Also who is running the Florida crews for the 5 families?

If we're talking total made guys (active, inactive, in prison, etc.) there are about twice as many in Boston (about 30 or so) as there are in Providence (about 15).

The feds identified DeLeo as the acting boss, which he may have been in name. He attended some making ceremonies and what not. But in a practical sense, there was no way he could do the day to day duty of an acting boss all the way up in Boston. If you read the indictment, he was basically running his own small crew up there that was involved in loansharking, drugs, weapons trafficking, etc.
Also so Peter Limone is not acting boss anymore and its Anthony Dinunzio?
That's what some of the most recent articles have said. Haven't seen it officially verified yet.
Current estimate on family membership in Viable families including detroit?
Well it's debatable whether Detroit is really viable. The Genovese and Gambinos each have about 200 total members. The Luccheses, Colombos, and Bonannos each had about 100. New England, New Jersey, and Philadelphia each have about 40-50. Chicago appears to have somewhere between 25-30 technically "made" guys but there may be others who essentially have made status. If we included Detroit, it's probably around 25 total members as well.
Also who is running the Florida crews for the 5 families?
For the Gambinos, Vinny Artuso, Lenny DiMaria, and Alphonse Trucchio have all had operations in Florida in recent years. For the Bonannos, Jerry Chilli and Frank Porco have had operations down there as well. So did TG Graziano while he was a captain. For the Genovese, Ray Ruggierio was running a crew before it was busted a few years ago. Matty Ianniello also has some operations down there. Before he flipped, Reynold Maragni was running things there for the Colombos. Not sure about the Luccheses.
