Tyson Va Ali (both in prime)

Unread post by Ger5005 » July 1st, 2004, 5:14 am

I know Ali would do it because he beat the three Tysons of his time......
Liston, Fraiser and Forman.....
Is it true that Fraiser could kill a cow with 1 punch???

Frazier had one of the hardest punches in history, and in the game fight night , he is the only one with his power ot the max.

Those three guys did not hit as hard as Tyson when he was in his prime, and even Ali said that the hardest puncher of his time was Ernie Shavers, not Foreman, Liston or Frazier.

Who has the most knockout, or the highest knockout percentage, or themost 1st round KOs? Thats should be an indication to who is the hardest and strongest hitter.

thats a tough question...because tyson may have never even reached his prime as when he was in what was supposed to be his prime he slacked off in training.....but i think ali would have taken tyson..danced around and frustrated tyson

ALI.

tyson may have had the power and what not but critics said the same shit about ali when he fought against FOREMAN, who is still regarded as having the most devastating punch in boxing. ali was not favored and critics had foreman 3-1 against ali who was thought to be passed his prime.

think about it:

tyson's low and charging straight-arrowed parries, lunches, mixed with straights rights and hooks, with the occasional uppercut v. the MUCH MUCH quicker ALI - who would counter a tyson onslaught by stick-n move, stick-n-move - jab-left-right-lefthook-righthook combo that's faster than the blink of an eye. tyson never faced anybody of ali's combination of speed, quickness, and endless flurry other than holyfield. ali's quickness as a heavyweight has never been matched.

Theoretically speaking with both fighters in their primes? I’d go with Tyson.

If you watch Tyson from 1985 - 1991 (his prime) the only way he would have lost to Ali is if he didnt train and didnt prepare like he did for Buster. Tyson came in 5 lbs over weight, fly into Japan after Buster and under estimated BUster and lost.

The jail sentence from 1992 - 1995 and being out of the ring from 1991 - 1995 ruined Tyson foreever. Oh I wish that Tyson fought Holyfield in 1991 when they were scheduled to meet. And ALi would have dance from Tyson, it probably would have went the distance (watch Tyson v. Tillis, Rudduck) and Tyson would have won on points.

Tyson from 1995 - 2000 would have got knocked out by Ali, hands down.

Both Ali and Foreman would of raped Tyson.

Ali was a wayyyyyyyy smarter fighter had a better chin and bigger heart then Tyson. And Foreman was meaner and was a stronger puncher then Tyson not as explosive as Kid Dynamite though...

Even Cus D'Amato thought an Old Foreman would give Tyson problems, that's why Tyson ducked Foreman through out the late 80's and early 90's.

Yeah Foreman and Don King both wanted to see what would happen if George and Tyson stepped in the ring, but apperently Tyson wanted ZERO part of an old Foreman. The match would of happened if Tyson wanted.

Tyson is lucky guys like Shavers, Foreman, Ali, and Frazier weren't in their primes in the 80's. Tyson never had the brains or heart to be the greatest. I would of loved to seen Tyson try and stare down Foreman...that would of been hilarious.

True that Ali would not have stood there and traded toe to toe until he was KO'd. So if the fight went the distance maybe Ali is the one who's going to win on points. If not, Tyson KO'd him. That's how I see it.

Well I have to go with mr Tyson, he was just mean and a great fighter, if i dont remeber wrong, he wasnt easy to hit either, and the boxing has moved forward since Ali s time. Both great fighters offcourse and it would have been great to se them at the same time.

MAN DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT? DO ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT? TYSON BEAT FRANK BRUNO'S ASS AND FRANK BRUNO WAS TALL AND HAD STAMINA. LENNOX LEWIS IS A BITCH HE WAITED UNTIL MIKE TYSON WAS CLEAR OUT HIS PRIME BEFORE HE TRIED TO FIGHT HIM. ALI WAS A DAMN GOOD FIGHT AS WELL AS FRAZIER AND FOREMAN BUT NONE OF THEM IN MY BOOK COULD FADE TYSON IN HIS PRIME SO MY VOTE GOES FOR TYSON ALL THE WAY.
