2013 NBA Champions - Finals

Unread postby alexalonso » October 2nd, 2012, 2:02 am

I think it is not a stretch to say Miami (east) v. Oklahoma City (west) in the finals. Other possibilities include the Lakers and Chicago.

The Lakers are not looking good in 2012 / 2013. I thought that the Lakers would be dominant with Dwight Howard the way they were when Shaq was in his prime, but they are playing .500 ball.

They should definitely be a playoff team, maybe first round, maybe win a couple games in the first round. What ever they did last year will probably be matched.

Billups healthy and a GOOD rotation they will threaten Memphis and OKC. Lakers......not sure until Nash gets back and Dantoni's system hits its full stride.

East is Miami's to lose. Nets are overrated and Knicks will start coming back to earth when Amari comes back and messes up the rotation. Bulls are not a threat until D.Rose is back and healthy. Boston....come playoff time will be dangerous if healthy.

Spurs, Denver could make noise, especially Spurs if they rest their big 3 throughout the year.

During the allstar game, Chris Webber and a few others counted the Lakers out, not to even make the playoffs.

The Lakers have a terrible road record, so they will most likely get bounced in the first round. The Heat are on fire.

Forum on Manchester, they left after the 1998/1999 season. The first at the Staples Center was 1999/2000 and they won a title there. Koby Bryant has been in the league so long that he play his first 3 seasons at the Forum (aka The Great Western Forum - which I think was a named after a bank???).

The lakers have the number 8 spot so they will face the Spurs but if they get the 7 spot they will face the Thunder. They are screwed either way because their road record is dismal.

If Parker is out, I give them a slim chance against the Spurs. Howard has to want it and the role players have to step up. The West is not as locked up with the Thunder as people think. Denver or Golden State could upset of the top two.

They probably have a better chance of beating San Antonio, but they have to stay in the 8 spot for that to happen. They might end up in the 7 spot.

Right now, they will get beat by all of the top 3 teams in the West. Howard is streaky and he needs to be on point for them to move on in the playoffs. Spurs are not a running team and that is the only thing that helps the Lakers. Players are attacking Kobe more on offense.....I mean when in the fuck did Jared Jack become a factor against the Lakers??? :x

Lakers sqeeked in. Can they beat the Spurs? Clippers fall to the 4th cede but have the same record as Memphis, who they play in 1st round.

Any upsets?

- Clippers lose to Memphis
- Lakers beat Spurs
- Thunder beat Houston
- Denver beats Golden State

NO they are not. Clips are in trouble...and even with the injuries they were going to have a problem with Memphis. Knicks need to play together and they can/should beat Boston. OKC is in trouble. Durantula better come out like he did in game 3 or Rockets could be the first team to come back from 0-3 to win a series.

dam, I never seen so many game 6 and 7s in the first round. The LAkers got swept though because no Kobe, but I think that series may have gone 6 if Kobe was playing

Clippers dont have the playoff mentality. CP3 is the only player willing to bang with the best of them, but the rest of the team was AWOL.

Heat fell asleep but they will wake up.

The Golden State Warriors are a team on the rise. They got eliminated by the San Antonio spurs in 6, but they lost some close games and they are so young. I think they are on the path to the western conference finals in the next year or two.

Indiana better win tonight or this series could be over very quick.

I got Memphis and Miami in the Finals right now. SA looks dominant, but Zebo has had two bad games....once he gets his rhythm then Memphis will look like Memphis. Parker is breaking down with all this MRI shit...don't believe that it was just to see bs...dude has something going on.

Memphis is cooked like the barbecue served in that city................. (I would like 2 see that record- coming from 3 down 2 win a series- broken. Not against San Antone though.)

San Antone from the West vs. ???????????????????????????????????

San Antonio v. Miami Heat

The older, mature more experienced team vs. younger, run & gun, fast team.

Memphis got destroyed.....no other way to put it. Zebo got outplayed repeatedly by Duncan. Duncan looked younger, smarter and fresher each game and the SA bigs had Zebo frustrated every game. SA will be hard to beat in the Finals with Parker playing like that. Somebody gotta slow dude down...he killed Connely.
